During my undergraduate, I received the Ennead Architects Scholarship. With the scholarship funds, I was able to attend an Earth-Building workshop in Ghana, Africa. I spent one month in Abetenim Village aiding 3+2 Collective in the design and construction of their winning design for a single-family home.

The design utilizes both traditional and contemporary building techniques with local means and methods. I had the opportunity to help finalize additional programs and develop on-site changes to construction details. A personal highlight of the workshop was the freedom to fully design a sliding doorway that ensures a fluid connection between the kitchen and front courtyard.
